Abstract		Analytical method for the determination of lactulose and mannitol in urine samples on the same amino HPTLC plate was developed. The method enables the densitometric quantification of lactulose using fluorescence mode and mannitol using absorption mode after detection with AgNO3 reagent. The ratio of lactulose/mannitol excretion in urine after their administration is of great importance for evaluation of malabsorption and intestinal permeability disruption in some diseases.
