Abstract		The University College of Nursing Studies Izola also entered into the Slovene college field in the study year 2002/2003. In the beginning it was an independent college institution and then it became a founding member of the University in Primorska. Together with the establishing of this school, establishing of the University in Primorska is described here, too.
