Abstract		The professional ethics of nurses is focused an blood donor.s and blood recipients. The ethical principles of blood donations are voluntarism, anonymity and non-remuneration which are intertwined with respecting a human being, rights and integrity. Nurses in their profession develop and ensure quality nursing with blood donors and blood recipients. Ethical guidelines for their work are the Code of Ethics for Nurses of Slovenia and the lnternational Code of Ethics for Blood Donation and Transfusion.
