Specific professional values are connected to the raise of nursing as an independent health care discipline in the l9th century. The code of nursing ethics in Slovenia has a legal dimension, as the Health Care Law of the Republic of Slovenia says it its art. 45.: "Health workers and health co-workers perform health care in accordance with the accepted health care directives and with the Code of medical deontology or other professional ethical codes."
