Abstract     The health care system is among the most important and pretentious social systems. The medical profession almost solely creates the health care. Therefore The Slovenian chamber for health was founded and the profession became autonomous and social responsible. Preserving of a doctor's reputation, his professionallity and ethics for a successful co-operation with a patient is one of the most important tasks of the Chamber. Public opinion still claims this relation as good and the health care system was stabile trough out the transition period. Nevertheless more competition and also private health care are stimulated. The chamber provides money and is keen on establishing an objective overlook of the quality of the slovene health care. lt tries to unilorm the activities of the health associations and blames the state for a bad organization and evaluation of working conditions of slovene doctors.
