Abstract     Recurrence of infections is the main risk factor for outbreak of cervix disease. High-risk human papilloma virus (HPV) has a key role in pathogenesis of preinvasive and invasive cervical cancer. Positive proof of human papilloma virus helps with further medical treatment of cervical pathology. The higher is the level of displastic changes the higher is the percentage of proved HPV presence. The aim of the study was to discover the percentage of HPV infection with CIN III histological diagnosis and the efficiency of cold knife conization for elimination of HPV infection. Before surgical operation 45 of 51 patients (88.2%) with CIN III histologic diagnosis also showed presence of high-risk HPV virus (on 6 patient (11.8%) the HPV test was negative). 12 months after conization the infection was present only in i case (2.2%). In all other cases (97.8%) we successfully cured HPV infection with surgical removal of neoplastic lesion.
