Abstract		The incidence of the nonmelanoma skin cancer has been on an increase throughout the world. The management guidelines are based on histological and clinical risk factors. It is important to note that the management principles are different for low risk and high risk nonmelanoma skin cancer, which is not overeradicated after surgical excision. Histological margin control and diagnosis are prerequisites for successful management. Nonmelanoma skin cancer is a malignant disease and must be treated as such. Follow up of the patients is imminentessential and must not be omitted.
Summary		Ploščatocelični (PCK) in bazalnocelični (BCK) karcinom je v porastu po celem svetu. Na osnovi histoloških in kliničnih dejavnikov ga delimo v rak z nizkim in visokim tveganjem, ki ju zdravimo različno. Zdravljenje se ne konča s kirurškim izrezom spremembe, ampak se po potrebi nadaljuje z multidisciplinarnim pristopom k bolezni. Histološki pregled tkiva in vseh robov sta osnovna dejavnika, ki zagotavljata uspešno zdravljenje. PCK in BCK sta malignoma in jo moramo kot taka tudi obravnavati, k čemur spada tudi redno spremljanje bolnikov.
