Abstract		The author describes the therapeutic approach to rheumatic pain, which is the main symptom in most rheumatic diseases. The non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic therapeutic procedures are described more in detail, the possibilities of surgical treatment which also reduces or removes rheumatic pain, are briefly mentioned as well. Some differences and specificities in pain therapy of particular rheumatic diseases are listed.
