Abstract     Airway management is the single most important skill of the emergency physician. Some say it is the defining skill of emergency medicine. Timely, effective, and decisive management of the airway can quite literally make the difference between life and death or between ability and disability. The emergency physician must be proficient with the pharmacology and effects of neuromuscular blocking agents, sedative or induction agents and other medications used to improve outcome or mitigate adverse effects. The aim of contribution is representations of use of drugs in emergency airway management in the Centre for emergency medicine Maribor in the period from Januar 2003 to March 2004.
