Abstract		Transport ventilators provide consistent ventilation at the patient alowing us to focus to the other treatment, like patient assesment, medication administration, intravenous acces. Transport ventilator provide controlled ventilation, but also allow patient to breathe spontaneously delivering a high flow rate at 100% oxigen. Transport ventilators are relativly simple devices with easy to use controls. The newer ventilators alow more controls, similar to ICU ventilators. We must carefully prepare them before use and be familiar with basics of mechanical ventilation.
