Abstract		The goal of the article is to inform wide professional public with the term mission. The article has two parts. In the first part there is sorne theory about mission and description of the possible accesion to de-sign the mission. After this author try to design "common" mission of the Institute of public health of Republic Slovenia and regional institutes of the public health. In author's opinion, the added value is first in all in willful accesion to design and in understanding mission of the healrh organizacion.
