Abstrakt		Growing medicine costs are narrowing the options for expansion of other programs for health services. Guidelines on prescription and use of medicine show that medicine costs (without proper action) will keep on growing, that's why certain actions for controt of prescripted medicine costs are necessary. In the year of 2003 ZZZS gathered and processed information (inside the 52. Arricle of special agreement) on prescritption of medicine by performers and on that basis tested a model for stimulation of rational prescription of medicine in the hole country. The 52. article also orders performers to send to ZZZS infonnation on the number of doctors that prescribe medicine inside deadlines and as ZZZS instructs them to. The ZZZS duty is to give information ro performers on prescribed medicine at least two rimes a year, in two months after the analysed period is over. Inforrnation for the year 2003 was processed and sent out in yuarterly periods as ir will be done also in year 2004. The model for stimulation of rational prescription of rnedicine is at this time only a suggestion of ZZZS and it will be finalised in negotiation with partners.
