Abstract     The epileptic status is a emergency condition. It is defined as two or more seizures without full recovery of consciousness between attacks or continuous seizure activity for 30 minutes or more. It has a mortality of 1 - 10% and causes permanent neurologic sequelae in survivors. Therefore, a presumptive diagnosis should be made and appropriate therapy, which includes ensuring airway by endotracheal intubation and stabilizing vital signs, should be applied.
