Abstract		The purpose of this article is to present one of the eating disorders - Anorexia Nervosa. It discusses the types, causes, diagnostic criteria, clinical presentation, incidence, course and treatment of Anorexia Nervosa. The role of nurse from admission of the patient until diagnostic-therapeutical interventions in medical emergency department and patient observation is specified. In the end of the article the statistics of all examined patients with Anorexia Nervosa in Medical emergency department in Ljubljana in the year 2003 is presented.
