Abstract		The purpose of the article is to present the process of the introduction of the protection of personal information and information about health status of patients hospitalized at The Clinical Centre in Ljubljana, as well as information dissemination to others. It also brings the description of initial experience with the new system of patient's rights protection.
Summary		Namen prispevka je prikazati proces uvedbe varovanja osebnih podatkov in podatkov o zdravstvenem stanju pacientov v javnem zdravstvenem zavodu Klinični center Ljubljana ter posredovanja informacij drugim osebam in opis prvih izkušenj z novim sistemom varovanja pacientovih pravic.
