Abstract		This paper reviews intoxications in patients of Sub-Saharan Africa. An overview of the clinical presentation, incidence and management of patients suffering from intoxication in this region is presented. The most frequently occurring intoxications are discussed and the cultural and traditional aspects affecting their occurrence are investigated.
Summary		Članek opisuje vrste in posebnosti zastrupitev pri bolnikih v podsaharskem delu Afrike. Prikazana je pogostnost, opisane so posebnosti v klinični sliki in vodenju najpogostejših zastrupitev ter okoliščine in kulturno ozadje, ki pogojuje te zastrupitve.
