Abstract		In september 2003 we performed first and successful lung transplantation in Slovenia. We transplanted right lung to 47 years old female patient with primary lung emphysema , who was on oxygen at home and on glucocorticoid treatment. There were no postoperative serious and important complications. Preparation for transplantation was of long duration. After we received consensus from medical authorities team of medical specialist was formed. Co-workers in the team were surgeons, pulmologists, intensivists, anesthetists and specialists for infection disease. Our teaching institution was AKH Wien. Harmony team work without weak point resulted in first and successful lung fransplantation in Slovenia.
