Abstrakt		Modern therapy of diabetes is heterogenous and includes education, diet therapy, physical activity, self-control, oral therapy, and insulin. Several studies have suggested health education as the key to successful management of diabetes. The primary goal of health education is motivating diabetic patients to undertake the necessary changes of lifestyle; it is truly an interactive process where patients learn to survive, become independent, and learn how ta prevent or delay diabetesrelated complications. Our School for diabetic patients was founded on April 5, 1993, and so far enrolled more than 4000 patients in 380 sessions
