Abstrakt     Job motivation of occupational therapists is prerequisite for effective occupational therapy. Atticle tell about basic principles of motivation and summarize the motivational theories which tend to explain a work motivation. Qualitative study had been done by interiewing a group of occupational therapists. Material and non material influence on general job satisfaction and professional motivation had been intention of research. Basic motivation factors, according to results of research, are client satisfaction, autonomy, knowledge of rasults, relations of coworkers and general job characteristics or the nature ofjob itself. Basic elements of job satisfaction include team co-operation and respect between medical professions. Results of research are demonstrating very different motivational circumslances and prerequisites from institution to institution, but motivation arise from both within che worker personality and environmental conditions.
