Abstract     latrogenic complication (IC) is an event, which is a consequence of our diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures and could not be related to underlying disease. To consider an IC there must be fulfilled some criteria. Over 22 years in our departement we treated 197 such cases, what means 0,83% admitted patients. Because these where most serious complications, the mortality was very high (19%). It is of extreme importance to think on IC and promt, appropriate treatment. As high as possible skill of doctors, continuous and careful observation of patient's condition after procedure is obligatory.
