| Abstract | Organisation of pre hospital emergency medical service has important impact on outcome of seriously ill and injured patients. Members of pre hospital emergency medical team are medical doctor and two rescuers (medical technician) with overall at least medical high school education. Across-sectional study, which included all medical workers in pre hospital units in Slovenia, was made. Data obtained from questionnaires was analysed quantitatively. Rescuers often perform certain medical procedures without proper authorization. Therefore they should have higher formal education. | |
