Abstract		In the paper the surgical factors influencing blood transfusion treatment are studied. Review, classification and detailed description of the surgical factors are preented. The classification with regard to bleeding causer is used. The factors are divided in three groups: disease factors, traumatic factors and factors caused by surgical activities. In the conclusion the need for guidelines for blood transfusion treatment is discussed.
