Abstrakt     This paper is a presentation of partial results of the research carried out within the frames of my doctor's thesis entitled »Factors of Successful Introduction of Changes in Slovenian Health Care System« that included 14 Slovenian hospitals and 759 interviewees and was completed in December 2005. The results confirm that, according to the opinion of the employees, that the organizational culture with the characteristics of hierarchy prevails (29.81%), and is followed by market culture, (25.69%), group culture (23.85%), and ad hoc culture (20.54%). In view of the organizational culture dimensions dealt with in this paper, indoor orientation, control and stability prevail in Slovenian hospitals. It may be pointed out that organizational culture in Slovenian hospitals is lacking outdoor orientation, involving association, comparison, competition, innovativeness, motivation for individual or team work, individual growth of the employees, confidence in other people and their task performance.
