Abstrakt     Pain can be described as an unpleasant sensation caused by tissue injury. The injury can arise due to disease, injury or as a consequence of a healing process. The sensation of pain depends from individual to individual, depending on his or her individual, psychosocial, economic or cultural state. Pain can be classified as acute or chronic malignant or non-malignant pain. This classification distinguishes types of pain according to the beginning, duration and the cause of pain. Acute pain is distinguished by its sudden onset, caused by an injury or disease and its duration until recuperation, that is when the cause of the pain is removed. The acute pain can worsen into chronic pain if not treated properly or relieved. Chronic pain is a pathological pain, which endures for a longer period than expected condition or injury treating (2) Patients suffering from chronic non-malignant pain that endures for a longer period, often become anxious, frustrated, depressed. Malignant pain is the body response to a malignant process, such as arthritis or cancer. The pain is manifested as acute pain or enduring chronic pain or a combination of both. Such pain affects all aspects of. patients life. Pain also acts as a strong factor of stress and weakens the immune system (4).
