Abstract | Blood coagulation is a process of vascular vessel wall function, activity of plateles and coagulation factors. When defects exist in one or more steps in the process, hemorrhage occurs. Many inherited bleeding disorders were found, which are due to insufficient or abnormal production of plateles and coagulations factors. Among these hemophilias occur most frequently. The therapeutic approach is causal by replacement of platelets or coagulation factors obtained from donor plasma or using recombinant technology, or symptomatic when bleeding manifestations are mild. Preventive treatment means informing the patient and his family on the nature of the disease, urgent therapy of bleeding episodes, therapy at home and the proper way of life to reduce hemorrhage. Treatment also invludes genetic consultation, treatment of bleeding complications with ortopedic surgery and physical therapy of affected joints to reduce invalidity and improve the quality of life. | |
