Abstrakt		Old age is a part or human life that every man should experience and live to the full. Going through the third period of life the individual will be capable of self-dependent life subject to the same conditions as all locomotion handicapped persons. One of the important factors indispensable to a full, high quality life in old age is carefully planned building of suitable apartments, free of architectural barriers. As occupational therapy provides also different options regarding the adaptation of the loving environment, it can play an important role in basic health care. Old age is accompanied by various ailments and injuries which require rehabilitation. It is a well known fact that rehabilitation at home is less expensive and more effected elderly person. It is important to proceed the fact that elderly persons lead the most satisfactory existence in a familiar environment that they care for, and among people they know social and cultural milieu.
