Abstract     Radial nerve is one of the most frequently injured nerves, however the frequency of nerve injury is rather low as compared to other hand injuries so it is hard to get a sample big enough for research work. Objective: The article is based on dissertation. The aim of the article is to introduce the role of splints and occupational therapy in rehabilitation process after injury of n. radialis in hospital environment. Methods: Literature review was used to introduce the approach and treatment after n. radialis. Case study: Subject in a case study was a retired housewife 71 years of age who suffered injury of n. radialis after a dog bite. Results: Literature review: The use of the properly made splints at the beginning of treatment is encouraged by most authors. It is advisable to rest for a few days, and then progressive involvement of functional activities is recommended. Case study: Objective and subjective measurements were used at the beginning, during and at the end of treatment. In six-month treatment measurements showed a large improvement. Conclusions: It is of crucial importance to use a holistic approach and apply it individually to each patient.
