Abstract     Curative ablation of atrial fibrillation is wildly applied and clinically reliable method. Among several curative ablation methods, 2 of them are evolved in the present clinical practice: circumferential pulmonary vein ablation with adjacent atrial tissue and ostial segmental disconnection of all pulmonary veins from the left atrium. Clinical studies have approved the superiority of the first onewhich makes this method more frequent in present clinical practice. Curative ablation for atrial fibrillation by circumferential ablation or segmental isolation have a dramatic impact on morbidity, quality of life, and even mortality in patients with the most frequent cardiac arrhythmia. By increase of knowledge regarding pathophysiology of atrial fibrillation, as by increase in technology of method rate of success will further increase although it is presently over 90% in well experienced centers. By approval of technology and unification of protocols of radiofrequency ablation method will be safe and successful even in les experienced centers and will became as a first line therapy of this most common form of cardiac arrhythmia.
