Abstrakt		State of the art osteosynthetic implants, used in today's praxis of treatment bone fractures, are briefly described in the following article. More detailed description is given of indications and reasons for removing osteosyntethic implants. Absolute indications is exposed osteosynthetic implant without possibility of covering by free flap. Relative indications are possible disturbance at the forseen diagnostic procedures caused by the implants, narroving of the canals by the implant, prominence over the bony surface, immediate vicinity of the articulating surfaces or thin soft tissue covering of the implant.
