Abstract		On the initiative of the Municipality Rogaška Slatina the construction of the new tourist recreation centre Vonarsko jezero is foreseen at the Sotla River. The Lake existed in the past but later the water storage was abandoned according to the problems with the water quality. Nowadays the dam Vonarje is being used only for flood storage. In the article the water quality problems in the impoundment lakes and mathematical model prognosis of water quality are discussed.
