Abstract		Autism is developmental disorder which attracts lot of attention, also because of the connection with vaccination as one of the hypothetical causes. Prevalence of autism is rapidly increasing according the epidemiological data. This manuscript presents autistic disorder and studies which focuses on hypothetical connection between autism and measles, mumps and rubella vaccination. All good designed studies on a large population excluded such a connection. Reasons for a higher prevalence of autism are in increasing public and professional attention, in change of medical classification and in improved diagnostic methods.
