Abstract		Psychic and psychophysiologic responses of children to the traumatic events are described. Authoress presents the history of studying of traumatic responses in children. She describes the changing picture on psychic trauma in different time periods and its dependency from child's age, personality features and qualities of-for him important - social milieu. Stressed is the finding that grown-ups usually underestimate the child's affliction and that at the same time some standard instruments for the ascertaining of psychosocial disturbances in childhood.
