Abstract		The author has described the theoretical basis of the audit and the reasons for the audit in the mcdicine. The computer programe for the audit which is in use in vascular surgery departncnt in Bristol Royal Infirmary (U.K) has been described. It has been introduced this yenr in the department of vascular surgery in General Hospital in Novo mesto (Slovenia).
