Abstract | The intention of this paper is to present some health indicators of Dolenjska inhabitants. According to its demographic characteristics, the population of Dolenjska does not essentially differ from the populations in more developed countries. Approaches to the so calles depopulation model is obvious. Dolenjska is a low-natality region characterized by slowing growth rate of its population. This declining trend is the serult of a fall in natural population increment. Such tendencies will have numerous unfavourable consequences on the further development of population. Dolenjska region is a law-infant mortality characterized region. Mortality and morbidity structure which is described is alike in developed countries. Slovenia is the number one in Europe in the incidence of suicide. Dolenjska region gives to that high incidence an important contribution with high rate suicide (36,4). | |
