| Abstract | Background. The authors showed the basic principles of flow cytometry and its application in clinical haematology. Conclusions. The authors described analysis of cell surface and cytoplasmic antigens and their use for determining the origin and stage of differentiation of non-Hodgkin 's lymphomas and acute leukemias. They also described flow cytometric analysis of DNA content, measurement of the functional capability of neutrophils and reticulocyte counting using flow cytometry. | |
