Abstrakt | Analgesics are widely used drugs. Some of those belonging to the nonopioid group are also available as over-the-counter drugs. Acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin) and paracetamol, for example, are found in almost any domestic pharmacy. Therefore, they are a relatively common cause of intentional poisoning in adults and accidental poisoning in children. This article discusses only paracetamol, salicylates and certain other nonsteroidal analgesics. Poisoning with opioid analgesics is also quite frequent, but it is not discussed in this article. Treatment of poisoning with opioid analgesics is similar to the treatment of heroin poisoning and is described in the article "Poisoning with Heroine, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Cannabis, Gamma-Hydronybutirate and Lysergic Acid Diethylamide". | |
