Abstract		Rough incidence measure of the oral, pharyngeal, laryngeal and esophageal carcinoma is considerably higher in men than in women; but this can not be affirmed for the rectal carcinoma also. It is also noticed that there is a statistically significantly higher incidence of the oral, pharyngeal, laryngeal and esophageal carcinoma in wine- producing districts in men but not in women in comparison with districts which do not produce wine; rectal carcinoma is both in men and in women more frequent in wine-producing districts compared to districts which do not produce wine.
