Abstrakt		The paper discusses bases offered in the form of ONLINE and CD-ROM's at the University Library of Maribor, in the area of biomedicine. With this offer, the library has catered for the structure of the users in northwest Slovenia. In 1987 the first ONLINE database was offered and within 3 years period enquiries for CD-ROM are continuing to increase, which is a direct result of the expanding educational training and efforts of the Library Users from the area of biomedicine have at their disposal 26 ONLINE bases, including MEDLINE and EMBASE. MEDLINE is supplied monthly by new data. The Library is also working on CDROM network. Since 1985, the Library has been taking part in the University Informatics Network System project, and since 1987 it has taken part in the Libraries Network Programme in UNIMARC international standards.
