Abstract		Results of development of pentoxifylline prolonged release matrix tablets are presented in present article. High viscous sodium alginate in combination with three different calcium salts calcium chloride, calcium lactate-gluconate and dibasic calcium phosphate were used as a matrix former. Results of dissolution tests, DSC and FT-IR analysis have shown that the best results can be acchived by using the combination of sodium alginate and dibasic calcium phosphate.
