Abstrakt		A dentist should be able to perform basic orthodontic examination, by using available diagnostic tools. Sistematically collected data, considered using both knowledge and experience make possible to state the diagnosis and prognosis of patient orofacial development and make decision on indication for orthodontic treatment. In further procedure the dentist must prepare precise plan of treatmen according to patient and parents possibilities and to estimate if the wanted result is in accordance with his expectations and abilities. When the patient (parent) agrees to assume dentist's part of obligations, it is possible to make an agreement on orthodontic treatment.
