Abstrakt		The aim of this study was to evaluate the applicability of liposomes for local delivery of drugs into the subgingival area. Unilamellar and multilamellar liposomes were spin labelled with ASL (N-1-oxyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinyl-N-dimethyl-N-hydroxy-ethylammonium iodide) in a concentration of 0.01 mmol/L. With the method of electron spin resonance (ESR), surface binding and diffusion of the spin labelled liposomes were studied in samples of root cementum and dentin. Intensity of the ESR spectra revealed that root cementum was penetrated by unilamellar liposomes twice more rapidly than by multilamellar liposomes. The latter exhibited four times faster penetration of dentin as compared to root cementum.
