| Abstract | Dental erosion is one of the main causes of tooth wear and its prevalence is increasing. In the initial stage, the condition is difficult to identify because it is not associated with tooth sensitivity, and it can be detected only by detailed clinical examination. The extent of dental erosion is assessed with the use of the BEWE (Basic Erosive Wear Examination) index. With the development of composite materials and adhesive techniques it has become possible to treat dental erosion by conservative methods. A successful long-term outcome depends on the use of appropriate preventive measures. The article presents a clinical case of dental erosion treated by a minimally invasive approach. | |
