Abstract		As the physician is fully acquainted with the pathology of his/her population, he/she should be the first one to organise adequate preventive activities in the local community. He/she should actively seek cooperators for the implementation and providing of these activities. The article presents work of a district physician as a possibility of acting according to the guidelines of the WHO.
