| Abstract | Alkaline extraction followed by atomic absorption spectrometry was applied to the spectation and quantification of chromium in CCA-treated building timbers. Total chromium was determined by atomic absorption spectrometry of specimens prepared by acid digestion. The specimens examined were found to obtain 0.3 0.4 percent total chromium, and less th. 100 mg/kg of hexavalent chromium. | |
