Abstract		Authors state the specific development of the Velenje community on the domain of population and industry in post-war period. Industrial development caused an unfavourable economic situation. Health status of the population is worse as elsewhere in Slovenia. Authors are of the opinion that such a situation is also linked with the excesive ecologic exposure. They expect the health state of population to improve with the sanitation of main sources of evironmental pollution.
