Abstract		Interest for health must be included into all state activities as each part of the politics influences the health of the population. One of the aims of every modern state and progressive society is also health promotion of the population. Only an up-to-date legislation on the domain of health care, health insurance and health activity leads to social security and political stability. The policy of health promotion in Slovenia is based on important issues from the viewpoint of health and the quality of life. Health protection will be implemented first of all with the provision of conditions for the development of health promotion and restitution policy. One of the most important priority aims is the encouragement of profession development and the quality improvement of the performance of health activities.
