Abstract		Authors have tried to point out advantages and disadvantages of airborne critical care transport, emphasizing the role of trained team and superior equipment. Problems connected with air transport environment have been described. Importance of careful planning and patient preparation was pointed out. Also development of Slovenian airborne transport service was described and future development was briefly discussed.
