Abstract		The transport of the seriously ill patient means an important part in patient's treatment. But, it can worsen the patient's condition or even geopardize the patient's life, especially when the patient is not prepared properly for the transport. The patients, admitted to intensive therapy unit, all suffer from deprived important physiologic functions. To prepare them for the transport we need continous monitoring, therapy and continous clinical observation. Because of technological development the role of the nurse has changed: higher demands in technical knowledge and in patient's care Seriously ill patients depend on well educated nursing team. The demands for quick and safe transport of the seriously ill patient are: educated and experienced nursin team; up-to-date medical equipment; cooperation with diagnostic center.
