Abstract		At the realization of management functions and especially of financing function, the institute management is facing basic economic and accountancy elements and phenomena. An additional knowledge and understanding of these elements and phenomena is urgently needed for the medically educated management personnel. The purpose of this project is to call reader's attention to terminological and contents particularities of accountancy and to direct him into further training, analysing and understanding of contents of individual element. The emphasis is on cost as a central economic category, on analysis and on monitoring of cost ranges. At the same time it deals also with the categories of costs and adequate criteria and with the help of graphs directs the reader into the possibilities of accountancy analysis. Project indicates possible solutions with the choice of an adequate criterion and brings analytical surveys, tables and graphs of financial and cost events of the institute in the year 1994 and partly also in the year 1995. Contribution ends with the consideration about the importance of decision-making, planning and monitoring of institute management in the present time and in the present health care financing system.
