| Abstrakt | In the folk medicine as well as in official medicine ivy has been used in the treatment of a variety of diseases for a long time. Lately, the standardised extract obtained from the leaves of ivy has gained importance in the symptomatic treatment of chronic imflammatory respiratory tract diseases. The article provides a basis for botanical and chemical evaluation of the drug and presents data on its most important active substances, hederacoside C and alpha-hederin. | |
